Salvation
The most important decision you will ever make.
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."— John 3:16
What Does It Mean to Be Saved?
Salvation is God's gift to humanity — a rescue from sin and its consequences, and an invitation into a restored relationship with Him. It is not something we earn through good works or religious effort. It is received by grace, through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
The Bible teaches that every person has sinned and fallen short of God's glory (Romans 3:23), and that the consequence of sin is death (Romans 6:23). But God, in His great love, sent His Son Jesus to pay the penalty we owed.
The Good News
God Loves You
God created you and loves you deeply. His desire is for you to know Him and experience life to the full (John 3:16, John 10:10).
Sin Separates Us
Our sin — choosing our own way over God's — creates a barrier between us and God. No amount of good works can bridge that gap (Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23).
Jesus Is the Bridge
Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, died on the cross to pay for our sins and rose from the dead, defeating death and opening the way back to God (Romans 5:8, 1 Corinthians 15:3–4).
Respond in Faith
Salvation comes by confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead. It is a gift — received, not earned (Romans 10:9–10, Ephesians 2:8–9).
A Prayer to Receive Christ
If you are ready to place your faith in Jesus, you can pray something like this — God hears the sincere cry of your heart:
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and that I need Your forgiveness. I believe You died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. I turn from my sin and invite You into my life as my Lord and Savior. Thank You for the gift of eternal life. Help me to follow You all the days of my life. Amen.
